Peaks of Patagonia

Our sailing adventure brought us to Puerto Natales, the nearest town to the famous Torres del Paine National Park in Chilean Patagonia. With our warmest gear and the world’s smallest tent in hand, we set off for our hike around the park, including the famous ascent to the Towers. The Chilean side of Patagonia was pretty darn spectacular - and so with a little sadness and high hopes for the Argentinan side - we waved goodbye to Chile and crossed on over to Argentina, arriving in El Calafate to see the world´s largest glacier, Perrito Moreno. It. Was. Amazing… though seeing huge chunks of ice the size of a car falling off a glacier was never going to be disappointing. Next up was El Chalten to hike around Mt. Fitzroy, with views that looked like they belonged in the pages of a fairy tale book. One of the world´s most amazing national parks…most definitely. Pictured below: views of the towers, hiking around Torres del Paine and containing my excitement to be setting up a tent in the rain, friends that kept us company throughout the hike, the spectacular Perrito Morneo glacier (yep, Errol is in shorts…hopefully still able to have children some day), and Parque National Los Glaciers in El Chalten with a classic shot of the mountains, Errol in the middle of a frozen lake, beautiful vistas, and the lake, glacier and towers in one shot.
